Inspiration:

A moment of meanness chiding myself: “Why do you always write poems in the 1st person? The world isn’t all about YOU. I—I—I–It gets so egotistically monotonous.” So I thought about writing about in the second person … but that seemed to distance myself from myself, when what I’m seeking through expression is wholeness.
